This site is dedicated to the memory of Joan and Harold Walker.

Joan and Harold were married on 24th April 1948 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Ashton, Preston, Lancashire. This photo was taken on their Golden Wedding Anniversary. Joan and Harold Walker lived in St Annes in their early married years, in the late 1940's, when Harold was a young policeman stationed there. They loved the sea and the promenade. After moving from St Annes, they often visited, throughout their happily married life, as a family and latterly Joan as a widow since 1999. Harold was in the Navy in World War 2 on HM Victory, and they loved to support the RNLI. We set up this fund in 2010 when mum passed away. Thankyou to all family and friends who have donated in Joan and Harold's memory. Mum and Dad's light is shining ! Thankyou All donations are to be directed to Lytham St Annes Lifeboat Station. Please put a note requesting this in the comments box , when making your donation. Thank you.

2021- our Valentines crafts and afternoon tea...this year of covid-19 we met on WhatsApp each making our cards and crafts and having our afternoon tea in our own homes. Carolyn, in Hutton, Sarah and Alice in Croft, Fiona, Chris and Joseph in Woolston, round the corner from me. We had a lovely chat through our phones via video. What would you have made of this mum and dad? I reminded us that tomorrow, 114th February, would be grandma Sally and Harold Suggate's 101st wedding anniversary. So thinking of them too with love xx

Well mum, on a day when we would have been having a lovely birthday tea with cake and candles, I am thinking of you. What would you have made of this last year? It will be 1 year next Saturday ( 30th January 2020) since this covid virus was found in Britain. After a year of everything we know , being turned upside-down, Colin and I had our vaccinations last week. This could be the turning point. With lots of love, Valxx

Mum and Dad, you were in our thoughts as we had our Valentine crafts workshop and afternoon tea. You were in our hearts and thoughts as we made "Pennies from Heaven" cards and decorated sweet jars with love, to be shared with loved ones on special occasions. The donation was raised in your memory by Val, Carolyn, Sarah, Fi, Edie, Kenny, Joseph and Alice. Granny Gudde joined us for cup of tea and cake. We raised a toast in your memory, with love always x
